About Master of Engineering Management
The Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program at Saint Martin's University provides engineering and science graduates with a balance of engineering, managerial, business, marketing, legal and information systems tools for an engineering management career in either the private or public sector. The MEM program offers graduate certificates and a Master of Engineering Management degree.
The MEM program emphasizes the continuity of management and engineering related efforts from planning through design to execution. The program stresses the inter-relationship of these phases and focuses on the role of the project manager in managing and controlling all aspects of the project.
MEM program highlights:
- The MEM curriculum is adaptable to both recent graduates and engineers with professional experience. Students emerge with skills in assessing and meeting client needs from a business and engineering standpoint.
- Faculty have real-world experience in the subjects they teach.
- Classes are held in Cebula Hall (built in 2013), the most environmentally friendly and energy efficient building with LEED Platinum Certification in the Western Hemisphere, with labs in the Panowicz Foundry for Innovation (built in 2016).
- Classes are offered evenings and summers to meet the needs of working professionals.
- Classes are generally scheduled to allow a student to complete the program in a two to three year period by taking two classes per semester.
- Program concentration areas include Construction Management, Innovation and New Product Development, IT Management, and Renewable and Sustainable Engineering Management.
- The MEM program also offers Graduate Certificates in Engineering Management Fundamentals, Construction Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, or Lean/Six Sigma. The graduate certificate program allows working professionals to build expertise in specific areas of interest, with multiple certificates leading to an MEM degree.
