Media Arts is an innovative program that combines the study of communications theory and media production with the educational tradition of the liberal arts.
Students majoring in media arts at Sacred Heart University examine the theories and concepts behind contemporary communications and media; learning to analyze films, genres, directors and hone critical writing skills. The production of both magazines and newspapers are integral parts of the program.
Students in Sacred Heart’s strategic communication & public relations (SCPR) program acquire the skills and knowledge to succeed in various segments of the communication industries. With the guidance of award-winning scholars and media professionals, students build the advanced skills to communicate effectively across media platforms in an ethical and socially responsible manner.
