The Master of Communication will build students' strengths in understanding the fundamentals of communication in a changing media and industry landscape and provide valuable insight into current trends and practice.

As a graduate of this program students will be able to:
- Critically apply strategic communication theories and principles to complex problem solving in their professional practice.
- Determine and apply the specialist knowledge and technical skills required to creatively solve problems, demonstrating expert judgment and ethical responsibility relating to their professional practice and discipline.
- Critically analyze, synthesize and reflect on complex theories and recent developments, both local and international, to extend and challenge knowledge and practice in their field.
- Professionally communicate propositions, processes and outcomes to address specialist and non-specialist audiences.
- Provide leadership within their discipline as well as collaborate with others.
- Use appropriate research methods to design and execute substantial projects, evaluate the outcomes and theorize about the contribution of their learning to the profession and knowledge area.
- Master a body of knowledge and specific technical skills to progress their professional career within the contemporary media and communication arena.
