The Bachelor of Education (Primary Education and Disability Inclusion) specialization prepares students to teach learners with special needs, whether in specialist disability settings or in mainstream schools. Students will develop their knowledge, skills and capabilities to work proactively with learners with disabilities, their families and other professionals in educational settings.
This program offers students an education degree for primary teaching through a combination of theoretical knowledge and professional experience. It prepares them for the dynamic and challenging world of education. It provides them with globally transferable skills and a qualification that can lead them to practicing as a teacher in Australia and overseas. They will experience a variety of interactive learning and teaching approaches. They will undertake Professional Experience placements, within a variety of educational settings that provide learning activities linking theory with practice, particularly in relation to the special education sector.
