Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology’s recently reaccredited teaching courses are designed to equip students with the most relevant and up-to-date course content. They get to decide what kind of teacher they would like to be, and choose from specializations in general primary, early childhood, disability inclusion, physical education and sport. They will also have the opportunity to swap streams should they change their mind about where they would like to specialize. Through their subject selection, they can explore English, mathematics, and STEM subjects.

The Bachelor of Education (Primary & PE/Sports) offers students an education degree for primary teaching, with a specialization in Health, Physical Education and Sports Education. This degree will prepare them for classroom teaching and/or teaching health, physical and sports education in educational settings. Students will develop their knowledge, skills and capabilities to work actively with learners in the classroom and on the sporting field through a combination of theoretical knowledge, and professional experience. It prepares them for the dynamic and challenging world of education. It provides them with globally transferable skills and a qualification that can lead them to practicing as a teacher in Australia and overseas. They will experience a variety of interactive learning and teaching approaches. Students will undertake Professional Experience placements, within a variety of educational settings that provide learning activities linking theory with practice, particularly in relation to the special education sector.
