About Bachelor of Science - Applied Modern Language and Culture (Optional Co-op)

Program Description

Today’s workforce is increasingly global, and career opportunities may arise in exciting international locations where a solid understanding of a career field includes proficiency in a second language and its culture. The BS degree in applied modern language and culture is a distinctive, dynamic foreign language degree in which students will study Chinese, Japanese, or Spanish. It prepares students to actively apply their knowledge of language and culture to a technical or professional discipline of their choice, such as science, business, communication, computing and information technology, engineering, the arts, and more. Students will gain proficiency in their chosen language while learning to articulate their technical or professional discipline in that language.
