This program provides students the opportunity to dive into three areas of diesel technology including: agricultural equipment, construction equipment and on highway truck systems. An emphasis area within Pittsburg State University's 4-year Automotive Technology program, the Managerial Management program, prepares students for a successful career in the automotive and diesel & heavy equipment manufacturing industry.
Students learn in classes that are purposefully kept small (average size is 20); guaranteeing a “hands-on” experience with some of the nation’s most accomplished professors. The automotive laboratories encompass 32,000 square-feet of space and are among the most advanced in the nation. Thanks to their partners in industry, students have the opportunity to work on more than 40 donated automobiles and use the same tools and technology currently being used in the workplace.
