The BS in Digital Cinema and Filmmaking (DCF) will prepare students for the professional world of cinema, television, and Internet drama production. Whether students want to make documentary films or fiction features, be a video journalist, a cinematographer, or an editor, the DCF program will provide them with the real-world skills they need to achieve a successful career in film.
Students learn in Pace's state-of-the-art Communications Center, equipped with professional digital equipment including HD cameras, AVID and Adobe Creative Cloud editing systems, two digital audio recording studios, two sound stages, and a high caliber film screening room with surround sound. Through required internships students will earn academic credit, gain valuable professional skills such as research, writing and pitching ideas, technical HD video production, digital editing (Adobe and Avid), directing, producing, and casting; and build a network of industry contacts. Upon graduation, students will have created multiple short film projects which will form the basis of their professional reel.
