About Bachelor of Science - Agriculture - Natural Resource Ecology and Management - Rangeland Ecology & Management (BSAG)
A degree in natural resource ecology and management will give students an education in renewable natural resources management, conservation and use. Students will gain a valuable perspective for understanding and solving critical environmental problems on local, regional and global scales.
The quality of people's lives is directly connected to the health of the ecosystems. The natural resource ecology and management program will give students the tools and experiences needed to understand and apply ecological sciences and principles to benefit mankind and the environment.
The rangeland ecology and management option provides knowledge of ecology of grasslands and other kinds of rangelands. Students will explore how these lands can be sustainably managed or restored for multiple uses and ecosystem health. The curriculum will emphasize and understand the management of different land areas, and the effects of disturbances on the land and how soil, water and vegetation can affect operations.
