Bachelor of Science - Agriculture - Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BSAG)

The study of biochemistry and molecular biology links the chemical, physical and biological sciences. Students will apply concepts and methods of chemistry and physics to the fundamental problems of biology, in the classroom and the laboratory.

Students will build a strong foundation in physical and biological sciences, with coursework tailored to meet their career goals. All of the degree tracks can prepare students for an excellent career in science or health care fields, including medicine and veterinary science. Oklahoma State University's program is the only American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology accredited program in the state and one of only a handful in the entire country.

In the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, students will be encouraged to participate in a guided research experience. They can become involved with a research laboratory as early as they wish, even during freshman year. This kind of hands-on experience will help students learn how to think like a scientist.
