Program Description

Flexible curriculum – Students can receive a solid foundation in theatrical arts with the flexibility to pursue an area of interest, such as acting, directing/dramaturgy or technical theatre/stage management. They can enhance their marketability with a double major or minor in arts administration or dance.

Best of two worlds – They can experience conservatory-style training with the big opportunities they’d find at a large university, but in a small and supportive campus environment.

Quality productions – They can take advantage of a large production season and plentiful casting opportunities starting their freshman year. ONU facilities are top-notch. The Freed Center for the Performing Arts includes a 551-seat proscenium theatre, a 136-seat studio theatre, rehearsal rooms, scenic and costume shops, smart classrooms, and a computer lab.
