4-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Science and Engineering - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Food Science and Technology

If students have finished high school but don’t meet the entry requirements for university, a Foundation Certificate can help them gain entry to an undergraduate degree.  

This Nottingham Trent University course has been designed to meet the needs of the food and drink industry by providing high-level training. Accredited by the Institute of Food Science and Technology and endorsed by the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink, this course covers a wide range of disciplines. Students will look at the chemistry, biochemistry and physics that underpin food manufacturing, as well as studying nutrition and the physiology of the human diet. Their learning will incorporate food production methods, product development and food regulation.
