2.5-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Science and Engineering - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Biochemistry

If students have finished high school but don’t meet the entry requirements for university, a Foundation Certificate can help them gain entry to an undergraduate degree.  

In this course, Nottingham Trent University brings biochemistry off the page. Not only will students discover how this subject is vital to humanity, but even play a part in applying it to global challenges. The students' journey will start with a discovery of disease – preventing, diagnosing and treating – before looking at drug development, biological tools and genetically modified products.

There‘s no substitute for doing it yourself, so that’s why NTU gives students loads of chances to apply their skills in labs so that they're a confident, work-ready graduate. In Year Three students can take a work placement to put their knowledge into practice. Students will get a Diploma in Professional Practice which strengthens their employability after graduation. The placements are often paid and many students impress their employers and are offered jobs at the end of their course.
