NAIT’s one-year, full-time, professional development program will earn students a professional development certificate and prepare them for the Canadian workplace.
- The professional development certificates are designed to advance a student's previous education and work experience
- They will gain job-ready skills and knowledge with the latest technology, trends, and methodologies
- Certificates are closely tied to the needs of the Alberta Labor market
- This program will enhance professional communications skills
- Students may be eligible to apply for the Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) upon completion
- Students will study on campus in a vibrant face-to-face environment
Leadership roles in the healthcare industry require practitioners to develop soft skills including: leadership, supervisory skills, team leadership, interprofessional and interpersonal competencies, organizational management, professionalism, ethics, stress management, health and wellness, mental health and wellbeing.
The employment outlook for leaders in healthcare is ever increasing and in high demand so students prepare themselves by learning the latest job-ready skills and knowledge with the latest technology, trends, and methodologies. This program allows students to build on their existing education and work experience to become an effective leader in their field.
Upon completion of this program, students will have earned individual certificates in Healthcare Leadership & Supervision, Supervisory Development, Basic Life Support, WHMIS, and Workplace Essentials.
