About Bachelor of Arts - Music - General Studies
For students who love music and would like to explore as many options as possible, a Bachelor of Arts in Music is a good degree to pursue. They will study on their chosen instrument or voice, take core courses like music theory and music history, while also having the opportunity to complete a variety of electives in other disciplines. Students will be prepared to apply for graduate programs, or to begin their career in a variety of fields in music.

Music Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students will demonstrate competencies in essential musicianship skills and understandings including history, literature, and cultural contexts.
- Students will demonstrate suitability for their chosen degree track and/or concentration.
- Students will demonstrate self and community wellness by becoming a human being whose character may be increasingly defined by universal human values of love, peace, truth, non-violence, and right action.
