Program Description
Behavioural Technician/Therapist students will have expertise in the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis and the skills to work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in therapeutic and school-based settings.
Highlights
- Students will develop an understanding of evidence-based practices for individuals with autism and how to design, implement and evaluate programs and intervention plans.
- Over 350 hours of field placement experience supported by a field placement officer.
- Access to iBooks and applications that support classroom theory and field placement.
- Graduates meet the coursework requirements to take the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board Inc. (BACB) Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA) Examination. Note: applicants must meet additional requirements to qualify.
- Certification in non-violent crisis intervention is available.
