Every child learns differently. And some need a little extra support to reach their full potential. Educational Assistants work with classroom teachers to help students overcome academic, physical, or behavioural challenges. Whether it’s assisting with lessons and assignments or providing emotional and behavioral support, education assistants help support an inclusive learning environment and ensure that no child is left behind.

 

In this Educational Assistant program, students will learn how to implement universal design principles for learning to support an inclusive environment; and techniques, including conflict resolution, to help a varied group of learners meet their educational goals. They will also learn how to work with teachers in the daily preparation and delivery of in-class learning. Modern classrooms thrive on diversity.
