Program Description
This Middlesex University degree aims to enable students to specialize in subjects related to international law and human rights, equipping them with comprehensive knowledge of the foundational principles of public international law and advanced conceptual insights into theories underpinning the legal status of international organizations and their role in the settlement of international disputes.
Students will deepen and broaden their knowledge of law as an academic subject, acquiring a systematic understanding of legal processes, methods and concepts, of the social and political context in which legal processes take place and of appropriate theoretical conceptions of law.
Throughout the program, student will gain practical skills in legal research, advocacy, and communication for a successful career. The course broadens them global perspective by exploring diverse legal systems and international human rights mechanisms, preparing them to work confidently in multicultural and cross-border environments.
Ultimately, by maximizing their academic potential and refining their problem-solving skills in a transnational context students will enhance their professional development and horizons. The research and writing skills students gain will be transferable to a variety of professional sectors, including the legal profession, policymaking, corporate sector, governmental bodies or academia.
