Program Description
Crime and criminal justice are central issues in today’s society, and Middlesex University's specialist Sociology with Criminology BA – one of the first in the world – opens up a wide range of career opportunities. This specialist sociology with criminology course teaches students essential skills while they develop research ability and theoretical knowledge.
Middlesex University's links with community organisations and NGOs across London means students will get opportunities to build their professional and employability skills with a range of prestigious work placement opportunities. Past placement destinations have included Safer London, Social Policy Research Centre and Vilniaus Miesto Kriziu Centras in Lithuania.
Students will have the option to extend their course by a year to spend their third year developing and applying learned skills as part of a paid work placement at a community organisation or NGO. Middlesex University's academic advisers will also help students find their placement and give them the support they need to complete a winning application.
