Sport is a truly global and rapidly expanding industry that unites commercial, public and third-sector stakeholders. The Master of Science in Sport Management gives students the skills and knowledge to work in this exciting arena.
The Master of Science in Sport Management programme is co-taught by the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences and the School of Business and Economics). Loughborough University's teaching is informed by internationally leading research and will develop students' skills in marketing, policy and legal analysis, organisational management, finance and accounting. It will also provide thorough analysis of the key strategic challenges facing sport, and the impact of sport on wider society.
Key study areas include: global sport marketing and media, sport policy governance and regulation, economics of innovation in the sport industry, management of human resources, research methods and skills for sport managers, accounting, strategic management, and more. Students will also address topics such as professional sport marketing strategies, new sport policies, and the governance of sport federations.
