The Bachelor of Science in Sport Rehabilitation will equip students with all the specialist skills needed to assist people at all levels of activity in their rehabilitation. The London South Bank University's Graduate Sport Rehabilitators (GSRs) are trained to be first response practitioners working pitch-side at sporting events, and are qualified to assess and treat musculoskeletal injuries from the point of injury.
Graduates will learn with a big emphasis on injury prevention and exercise prescription, including programming for return to sport, performance enhancement and improving health and function in populations with injury, illness and disease. The University's School of Allied and Community Health within the Institute of Health and Social Care is one of the largest in the country, enabling them to study in a state-of-the-art environment within a wide and supportive network.
There are also a number of opportunities available within this course, such as the chance to qualify as a registered Sports Massage Therapist, and to undertake the Pre-Hospital Immediate Care In Sport Course (Level 2), accredited by the Rugby Football Union (RFU).
