A Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is conducted purely by research. Each MPhil is the unique development of the students' individual research project, conducted under the guidance of at least two supervisory members of staff with expertise in the research area.
An MPhil can be pursued in any area of research within the university, where suitable expertise is available to support the proposed research. Cross-disciplinary projects are welcome. At London Met, they provide a supportive framework for research where the students' work is carefully overseen and their progress is monitored.
London Met has strong links with a wide range of industries, businesses, hospital trusts, the legal profession, governmental and non-governmental organisations, as well as local stakeholders in London that may impact their research and future career.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
