More than an introduction to the fundamentals of chemistry, this London Metropolitan University degree provides intensive basic training that is designed to give students the core laboratory, IT and performance skills to succeed in their chosen career.
The course is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry and provides partial exemption from the academic requirements for Chartered Chemist status. Students will be taught in the £30 million Science Centre, which has more than 280 cutting-edge work stations, and gain hands-on practical experience alongside analytical techniques such as UV and infrared spectroscopy.
The lecturers are often industry experts or active researchers and there are opportunities for on-the-job experience through the work placement scheme.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
