This is a fast-track route to a degree if students already hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) or have completed a foundation year in computing or a similar subject. Built-in opportunities for work placements gives students a career edge even before they graduate and the course is taught by staff with industry links who ensure the content remains up-to-date every year.
This course will help students develop their foundation year or Higher National Diploma into a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Computer Systems. Lectures and seminars are complemented by hands-on work experience provided by London Metropolitan University's in-house agency.
Students will have the opportunity to study in state-of-the-art computer labs, including some of the most advanced Cisco labs in London. Here students will develop their knowledge of everything from e-commerce to database management and learn both the practical skills required for a career in computing and the ethical, social, legal and professional issues related to the industry.
Students will explore topics relevant in their field today, such as cloud security, advanced Structured Query Language (SQL), content management systems and how to identify, analyse and thwart hacking attempts. London Met's teaching staff have strong connections with the industry and review the course content every year to ensure students are kept up-to-date with the latest information and practices.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
