The Biological Science BSc (Hons) degree encompasses a broad scope of topics designed to interest the inquiring mind. During the first year students will acquire a solid foundation in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, chemistry, human anatomy and data analysis. They’ll begin to understand how macromolecules drive cellular processes and they’ll be introduced to essential data handling and laboratory skills.
In the second year, students will start to specialise, and will explore state-of-the-art research techniques such as gene cloning, amplification of DNA and microbiological techniques.
The third year will include a year-long research project on the topic of the student's choosing. They can choose to specialise or to follow a more varied pathway.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
