London Metropolitan University equips students with the transferable professional skills required in the translation industry and give them an in-depth knowledge of translation theories, methods and procedures. They'll also study interpreting skills and learn about the various techniques used in liaison interpreting within business settings.
As part of the degree students will have the opportunity to undertake a work placement where they can benefit from London Met's links with the EU Directorate General for Translation, Moscow State University, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, the British Council and the United Nations.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
