English is not students first language, this subject-specific international foundation year will give students the necessary English language ability and expertise to study an undergraduate degree in art, architecture and design within UK higher education. Applicants requiring a Student Visa will not be eligible for this integrated course and instead should apply for the non-integrated International Foundation Year.
As part of your course students will :-
- Develop intercultural awareness and self-confidence
- Work on their communication, math's, research and study skills
- Increase skills in presentation, time management, problem-solving and planning
- Be introduced to various practice-based routes and take part in projects within each field to gain relevant skills and get a flavor of the different disciplines
- Explore subject-specific terminology and literature that you could use when preparing visual documents to accompany practical work
- Gain an understanding of British culture and universities, through a series of lectures and seminars
