About Associate of Applied Science - Construction Technology (Co-op)
In the Construction Technology program candidates will learn to cut, fit and assemble wood and other materials for the construction of residential and commercial buildings and other structures.
In this field students can work as a journey-level carpenter, general contractor, specialty trade contractor or independent contractor in light or heavy construction as well as many other related trades in the construction industry.
Instruction involves off-campus sites that may vary each term. Different projects are reviewed to fit the nature of work and desired skills students seek.
Employment opportunities are expected to remain high. One-fourth of the workers in this profession are self-employed.
