Chemistry at Kingston offers knowledge and skills relevant to industry, research and teaching. Through optional modules, students can tailor this degree to their interests and career goals. An individual project enables students to investigate a chosen area in depth. This degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). Teaching methods include lectures, workshops and practical classes. Graduates work in areas such as research, chemistry, product development and engineering, and teaching.
Students will have the opportunity to have a one-year work placement. This will give them valuable experience and help prepare them for a career in chemistry. Placements can be with large multinational companies, international companies, local companies and small start-ups; offering a diverse range of posts.
