The course is designed in consultation with leading industry experts, bringing together the latest theories and practices in marketing. Students will explore the role and function of contemporary and digital marketing in modern business, so when students graduate, they'll be at the edge of the job market with the knowledge and skills employers seek.
Students can gain hands-on marketing experience through an internship, or develop their skills as a consultant by working in a team on a live project. Another option is to delve into entrepreneurship and create their own start-up with support from the Business School.
Students will gain more than just a degree. The structure of the course enables students to earn a professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Students will be taught by an experienced teaching team whose expertise and knowledge are closely matched to the content of the modules on this course. The team includes senior academics and professional practitioners with industry experience. Student academic mentors also provide support during certain tutorials / seminars, under the supervision of the module leader.
This course prepares students for roles such as brand and marketing communications managers, market researchers, media planners and buyers, account executives, copywriters, as well as advertising and social-media managers. Many graduates progress to postgraduate study.
