About 4-Term Pre-Master's for Law and Social Sciences - Continue to Master of Science - Health Economics

Program Description

For students who hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s can help them gain a place on a postgraduate degree. For progression to the 1st year of a postgraduate degree at City, University of London. The course length is determined mainly by English language level (UKVI IELTS score).

Students on all course lengths take a set of common or similar modules to gain a solid base of skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take additional modules designed to improve one or more of their English language level, academic skills, and basic knowledge of particular subjects.

Master of Arts - Global Political Economy

Interested in pursuing a rewarding career as a health economist? The Health Economics MSc has been designed for those who have a background in economics and are looking to specialise. However, City also offers provision to those who are new to economics.

In developed and developing countries, the demand for specialists in health economics continues to increase. The Health Economics MSc is designed to meet this demand by introducing students to how microeconomics principles can be applied to the analysis of health and healthcare decisions by consumers, firms and governments.

As a result, students will gain the skills and knowledge they need to work as a Health Economist in the public and private sectors, and international health organisations and NGOs.
