JCU Brisbane’s Bachelor of Information Technology brings together the knowledge and technical skills that are essential when students are ready to make a start in their professional IT career. Students will learn about Cyber-Security, Networking, Interactive Visualisation, Big Data and Data Mining, Data Science, Web Technologies, Mobile Technologies, Programming, Design Thinking and a lot more.
Students will also have the opportunity to apply their skills to real-life business projects through an industry placement or project – this allows them the ability to built their CV while they study. The projects students work on will give them genuine workplace skills and give them the opportunity to be contributing to the industry too.
Graduates are eligible to become an Associate Member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
Through a partnership with the Student Association, IT Students at James Cook University Brisbane Campus have access to free ACS membership, earning many benefits such as:
- Complimentary attendance at ACS Queensland seminars and webinars, opening up ACS employer networks;
- Complimentary access to the ACS Careers Platform, including member-only job search to uncover internship and job opportunities;
