Modern accountancy isn't all about number crunching and spreadsheets. As an accountant one needs to be able to understand, visualize and present financial data to ensure businesses make the right decisions. Students will be at the heart of the business, analyzing performance and informing strategy.

BA (Honours) Accounting with Finance degree focuses on modern accountancy skills. Students will learn to inform and persuade using numbers. They'll work in small groups that replicate the workplace, with a focus on teamwork, real world case studies and developing strategy from financial data.

The course is accredited by 3 key accounting bodies (ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW), so whichever route students take they'll have lots of exemptions from professional exams. Moreover, students can boost their employability by taking an optional paid placement year between years 2 and 3 of their degree. Many students are offered graduate jobs by their placement employers.
