Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your next semester of study at Illinois State University.

Bachelor of Science - Recreation & Sport Management - Recreation Management

Recreation Management professionals plan, organize, and lead experiences for people with diverse backgrounds and interests. These experiences range from sports and special events to travel excursions, park visits, afterschool programs, family activities, and beyond.

They work in a variety of settings, including public recreation departments, parks, sports facilities, community centers, retirement villages, camps, event venues, and tourism attractions.

Students in this major apply theory in practice by completing two internships. They also have opportunities to attend conferences, participate in clubs, and travel through study abroad programs. These experiences help them develop a professional network that they can rely on after graduation.

Faculty in Recreation Management have received awards for their teaching, research, and service. They also conduct and publish research and write industry-leading textbooks.
