International Year One - Undergraduate Pathway - General (2-Semester Pathway) Transfer to Bachelor of Science in Education - Elementary Education - Bilingual/Bicultural Teacher Education (English-Spanish)

International Year One is a supportive program that allows students to earn credits towards their degree while receiving additional academic, cultural and language support customized for international students.

Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your next semester of study at Illinois State University.

Bachelor of Science in Education - Elementary Education -Bilingual/Bicultural Teacher Education (English-Spanish)

Focusing on the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures, the Elementary Education-Bilingual/Bicultural Teacher Education program at Illinois State will prepare students for a professional educator’s license to teach in bilingual elementary classrooms in grades 1-6. Throughout the coursework, teacher candidates will gain the professional knowledge and skills needed to become highly effective educators, the confidence to serve Bilingual/Bicultural communities, as well as approximately 300 hours of hands-on classroom experience prior to student teaching.
