About International Year One - Undergraduate Pathway - General (2-Semester Pathway) Transfer to Bachelor of Science - History - Social Sciences Teacher Education

International Year One is a supportive program that allows students to earn credits towards their degree while receiving additional academic, cultural and language support customized for international students.

Upon successful completion of the Pathway program and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your next semester of study at Illinois State University.

Bachelor of Science - History - Social Sciences Teacher Education

After students finish the program, they will be prepared to teach history and other social sciences at the high school level, including AP courses. They will have gained real teaching experiences through observations, micro-teaching, and a semester of student teaching. Students will learn more about the topics they have always loved – and how to teach them.

This program offers an Accelerated Master's Degree (AMD) sequence. This option provides high-achieving undergraduate students the opportunity to earn a master’s degree with only one additional year of study. Once enrolled in the major, students can contact their advisor to learn more.
