Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with a concentration in Music Education leads to initial certification as a teacher of music in all grades in New York State.
The aim of the program is to provide prospective teachers with comprehensive knowledge and skills in music, which, together with fundamental courses in education, will lead to effective public school teaching. The program conforms with the National Standards for Arts Education and the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts.
