Students can prepare for a career in online, broadcast, or print journalism, learn the latest in digital storytelling, social media, and information graphics, and even pursue a concentration in sports media.

The Journalism program is fully accredited, distinguishing it as one of the finest in the country.Students develop strong communication, writing, and critical thinking skills through courses in their major as well as a required liberal arts minor. They study media ethics and law, and gain expertise in news writing and reporting, shooting and editing video, and designing mobile websites, using the latest industry tools and software. Journalism majors are required to complete one internship, but many often do more.
