About Bachelor of Arts - Anthropology - Archaeology
Anthropology is a discipline that studies what it means to be human from every angle. Cultural anthropologists study people in all parts of the world by going to where they live and speaking the local language. Linguists examine the similarities and differences of the several thousand languages currently spoken.
The archaeology sub-field of anthropology is focused on the surviving materials of ancient and historic cultures. The analysis and interpretation of these materials involves distinct practical skills and theoretical approaches within anthropology. For students with an interest in archaeology, the archaeology option provides an anthropological foundation, supplemented by focused training in archaeological techniques, methods and theories.
