Extended Accelerator Program - Bachelor of Education - Kinesiology - Health and Physical Education Pedagogy

The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) is a three-semester program that includes an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the Gonzaga University campus and the Spokane area through its contextual curriculum. Upon successful completion of the program, students progress into the second year of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.

The Bachelor of Education in Kinesiology prepares students to pursue careers related to educating, training, and coaching individuals in health, fitness, and physical education settings. The Health & Physical Education Pedagogy Concentration is for students who wish to pursue teaching Health and Physical Education in the K-12 school setting. Students will complete the Kinesiology major along with the identified concentration courses and teacher certification courses. At the completion of the teacher certification program, graduates will obtain Washington State Certification in Health & Fitness, which is a requirement to teach in public school settings.
