About Extended Accelerator Program - Bachelor of Arts - Music
Program Description
The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) is a three-semester program that includes an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the Gonzaga University campus and the Spokane area through its contextual curriculum. Upon successful completion of the program, students progress into the second year of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.
The Gonzaga Music Department is a center of vibrant performance and creative study for music majors, minors, and non-majors from all disciplines. Gonzaga’s students and faculty integrate musical excellence and innovation through a liberal arts education that includes performances, festivals, tours, interdisciplinary collaborations, and research. Majors and non-majors alike combine their passion for music with pursuing lives of leadership and service for the common good. Musical artists enable the community, nation, and world to inspire others, to creatively seek new solutions, and to build bridges among diverse people. Therefore, Gonzaga welcomes all students, regardless of major, to participate in music ensembles and private lessons.
With over 800 students participating in music ensembles, lessons, and courses each semester, the department presents over 75 performances each year.
