About Academic Accelerator Program - Bachelor of Science - Computer Science
The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a two-semester program designed specifically for students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms, while includes the benefit of English-language and student support to help them thrive. The program curriculum offers a balance of university-wide and AAP-exclusive courses, with English-language course supplements that equip them with the practical, subject-specific vocabulary and skills they need to excel in their coursework.
The Department of Computer Science offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Computational Thinking, and a Minor in Computer Science. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is built on a broad and rigorous foundation of science, mathematics, software engineering, and advanced computer science topics, while the Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Computational Thinking is built on a foundation of computer science and the liberal arts. Students in both programs participate in a large software engineering project during their senior year, completed under the guidance of a faculty member and a project sponsor.
