Computer Science - Cornerstone Entry -International Year One (UTP Stage II) (Optional Co-op)

Program Description

Computing Science is equivalent to the first year of SFU's Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree program. It provides the foundation for further study in many aspects of computing to help you choose your area of specialization for your undergraduate degree.

The candidates meet the cornerstone entry English language requirement and the relevant academic requirements for their country, you will begin the UTP Stage II and will take cornerstone courses in their first term of study. Students who obtain an A in the cornerstone program will progress to direct entry, those with a B will progress to integrated entry. This program is designed to be completed in four terms.

Students who are eligible for transfer will be admitted to the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University, to continue with their Bachelor of Science program in one the following areas of study:

• Artificial Intelligence
• Computer Graphics and Multimedia
• Computing Science dual degree (with Zhejiang University, China)
• Computing Systems
• Geographic Information Science
• Information Systems
• Programming Languages and Software
• Software Systems (major)
• Theoretical Computing Science
