About Master of Public Health - Public Health - Environmental and Occupational Health
The Master of Public Health program strives for academic excellence in training students to become culturally competent public health professionals who will provide leadership, innovation and technical expertise in addressing the health concerns of the poor and underserved.
This Program requires course work in the five core areas of environmental and occupational health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy and management, and the behavioral sciences and health education. In addition to receiving a strong foundation in these core disciplines, traditional MPH students will gain additional depth through coursework in a chosen specialized area of public health, as well as through field experience and a public health internship. Additional requirements, before the awarding of the MPH degree, include the conduct of an applied public health research project and the passing of a written comprehensive exam.
