Program Description
This postgraduate course will help students take their skills from their undergraduate degree to become a teacher. They may be looking to change their career or they've decided after finishing their undergraduate degree, that teaching is what they really want to do. They'll graduate from this degree with the confidence and skills to teach in primary school across Australia and overseas.
It's a hands-on course that gets students out into the classroom for a minimum of 60 days, where they can put what they've learnt into practice. They'll discover how children learn and how they can help to develop and support their learning. They'll look at examples from around the world, and learn how to best work with children from diverse backgrounds. Faculty will help students top up their skills in English, maths, numeracy and more, so that when they start work as a teacher, they're as comfortable and qualified as can be.
