Master of Science - Business Analytics - Practice Semester

Systematically collecting and analyzing data is one thing; turning it into valuable insights is another. The Business Analytics program at EBS goes further. Only by truly understanding data, deriving clear guidance from it, and having the drive to permanently change the economy can a positive impact be made on the world.

Data expertise is becoming increasing important in every economic sector, business and department. There are two main paths open to graduates of this course at EBS:

• Joining a company (e.g. industry/banking) as a business analyst or data analyst
• Become a consultant in a first or second tier consulting firm. EBS works closely with partners such as KPMG, EY and PWC.

Examples of concrete career prospects are Data Analyst, Data Consultant, Management Consultant, Data Scientist and Quantitative Financial Analyst (“Quant”).

The degree program consists of four semesters (120 ECTS) and incorporates intensive collaboration with companies into most courses, where students work on practice-oriented projects supervised and guided by faculty members. In the first semester, core modules establish the strategic, economic, and financial foundations, alongside the practical Onboarding Project. The second semester provides an opportunity to specialize through elective modules and further enhance practical experience in the Field Project.

During the studies, key competences for a future career are acquired through Professional Development Workshops, and preparation for a leadership role is supported by individual coaching from the EBS Coaching & Leadership Hub. Additionally, there is the opportunity to further develop international language skills through foreign language courses at the EBS Language Centre.
