English Language Preparation + 3 Term Pathway - International Foundation Year - Humanities, Law and Social Science - Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - International Relations

The programme is designed to develop Students English language skills and introduce students  to essential academic and study skills before travelling to the International Study Centre to begin their academic programme.

This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills students need to progress to degree study at the Durham University, Durham City campus in a range of subjects related to the humanities, law or social sciences.

After completing this pathway, students will transfer to the BA in International Relations program. Taught by expert staff, undergraduate education in Politics at Durham is structured around three main streams: Political Thought, Political Institutions, and International Relations. You will move from generalist study in these areas in your early years to more specialised options in International Relations, exploring the diverse and dynamic politics and international relations of the contemporary world.
