Program Description
The Computing Studies and Information Systems (CSIS) program offers courses in system and networking concepts, programming languages and business courses, giving students a well-rounded set of skills that can apply to a variety of careers. CSIS also offers an optional co-operative education component where students can take the skills they have learned in the classroom and apply them in an actual workplace.
High demand occupations in the information and communications technology sector include:
- Information systems analysts and consultants
- Computer and network operators and web technicians
- Computer programmers and interactive media developers
- Software engineers
- Graphic designers and illustrators
- Computer and information systems managers
- Database analysts and data administrators
Students enrolled in this program may be eligible for a Co-operative Education designation. Co-operative Education involves alternating full-time academic and work terms. For information contact the Co-operative Education Office.
