About Associate of Science - Earth and Environmental Sciences

In this Associate of Science - Earth and Environmental Science program, students will discuss and learn about some of today’s most pressing problems, including climate change, air and water pollution, and loss of biodiversity. They will study plate tectonics, fossils, earthquakes, volcanoes, the environmental impacts of resource exploration and extraction, metals and gemstones, and more.

Associate degrees take two years to complete and concentrate on one area of study. If they plan their courses carefully with a university program in mind, they will be able to transfer all 60 credits to the university. In most cases, an associate degree will allow them to enter the third year of a four-year bachelor's degree program.
