International trade and investment are critical to the Canadian economy. As a result, Canadian businesses are in need of people who can manage international projects that take place across time zones, languages, cultures and currencies. Students looking for a career in global business enterprises, this program is well suited for them.
The first year of the program will provide students with a broad knowledge base in the four major areas of global business - Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Sales, Supply Chain and Operations, and Human Resources. Furthering their knowledge and skills, they will build their management and leadership capacity in the second year. Through a variety of case studies and interactive learning opportunities, students will develop skills needed to make strategic international business decisions.
As a graduate, students will acquire specialized knowledge and skills in international business allowing them to carry out international business functions in today's global marketplace. Upon graduation, students will have the skills and education they need to apply for the FITT Diploma from the Forum of International Trade Training, and the CIM designation from the Canadian Institute of Management. Students will be well positioned to be successful in entry-level and junior management positions in all areas of international business.
